LAPL

The Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL) is designed for recreational aviation. It allows you to fly aircraft weighing less than 2 tonnes, with a maximum of 4 people on board, and only within Europe. Training requires a minimum of 30 flight hours, including at least 15 hours of dual instruction and 6 hours of supervised solo flight. It offers a more accessible approach than the Private Pilot Licence (PPL), with simplified medical requirements. Training can begin as early as age 16, with the licence being awarded from age 17.

PPL

The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) is a qualification that allows you to fly single-engine piston aircraft during daylight hours, anywhere in the world. The training requires a minimum of 45 flight hours, including at least 25 hours of dual instruction and 10 hours of supervised solo flight. The PPL is ideal for those who wish to travel freely or prepare for a career in aviation. Training can begin as early as age 16, with the licence being awarded from age 17.

We are certified as an examination center for the French Aeronautical Federation (FFA). Therefore, you can take your theoretical exam directly at the flying club. You can book directly on the FFA website here.

NVFR

The night rating is an extension to the PPL or LAPL, allowing flight after sunset. Training includes a minimum of 5 hours of night flight, including 3 hours of dual instruction and 1 hour of navigation, as well as 5 solo night takeoffs and landings. This rating opens up new flying opportunities and provides excellent preparation for more advanced training.

FFA subsidies

Young people under 21 can benefit from the French Aeronautical Federation's "Pilot Goal" program. This program awards grants at each key stage of training: approximately €350 for the first solo flight, €500 if the pilot holds a BIA (Brevet d'Initiation Aéronautique - Aeronautical Initiation Certificate), up to €700 for obtaining a PPL or LAPL license, and €350 for certain additional qualifications (night flying, aerobatics, mountain flying, etc.). By combining these grants, it is possible to receive over €2,200 in support before the age of 21, regardless of income.
